Recapping the First Annual Le Marché du Chocolat in San Francisco
On May 10–11, 2025, San Francisco’s Hilton Union Square became a haven for chocolate lovers and artisan food fans alike. The first annual Le Marché du Chocolat welcomed guests into a chocolate marketplace filled with unique flavor, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a renewed sense of connection in the heart of the city. Bringing together craft chocolate makers from across the region, the event featured vendors including Embers Chocolate, Feast Coffee and Culture, Sonoma Chocolatiers, La Goulue, Recchiuti Confections, Sweet 55, and VB Fine Chocolates. From bean-to-bar purists to creative flavor innovators, each brand offered a unique tasting experience that elevated what it means to savor chocolate. The event was supported by the Fine Chocolate Industry Association (FCIA) and celebrated sustainable sourcing, small business, and the artistry of fine confections.
Afternoon Tea & Brunch Highlights
Guests who attended Le Marché’s exclusive Afternoon Tea and Brunch Buffets raved about the attention to detail: custom name cards, carefully arranged tiered refreshments, and a welcoming atmosphere that blended elegance with charm. More than just a sample and shop event, Le Marché du Chocolat served a greater purpose — offering support to small chocolate businesses and bringing an uplifting, community-focused experience back to downtown SF. As one attendee put it, “It’s refreshing to attend something joyful that gives life to the city again.” Friendly vendor interactions, thoughtful programming, and the ability to directly connect with makers made this a standout artisan chocolate event that celebrated both flavor and people.
